Tour Scotland St. Andrews Cathedral Video. St. Andrews is a fascinating city located in the east of Scotland, just north east of Edinburgh. Apart from the famous Old Course (golf), beaches, medieval architecture and castle there is the ruined cathedral which, in it's day, was one of the largest in Scotland. There are well preserved precinct walls, remains of a priory and St. Rules Tower which dates from the early 12th century and offers visitors fit enough for the climb, stunning views from the top. There is also a museum on site which houses a collection of early Christian and medieval monuments.
